Terriers complete Butler swoop

Wed 02 Jul, 10:45 AM

Huddersfield Town manager Stan Ternent has made former Scunthorpe United defender Andy Butler his third signing of the summer. The 24-year-old decided to leave the Iron last week and has now followed former Scunthorpe team-mate Jim Goodwin and Keigan Parker to the Galpharm Stadium on a three-year contract.

And he told the club's official website: "I've known about the possibility of coming here for a while but it's good to have it all sorted.

"Huddersfield is a massive club with a lot going for it at the moment. This club is ready-made for the Championship.

"The ground is obviously unbelievable but for a League One club to have sold 16,000 season tickets is amazing.

"It's going to be brilliant to be playing in front of that many people every other week and hopefully they will get behind us and drive us on."
