Swansea's Jason Scotland and Angel Rangel are both expected to be fit for the start of the season despite both undergoing surgery this week.
Defender Rangel underwent a hernia operation on Tuesday, while striker Scotland (pictured) - who scored 29 goals last term - will jet out to Germany on Thursday for minor stomach surgery.
Speaking about Rangel's problem, Swans physio Richie Evans said: "Surgery is always the last resort, but if everything goes OK he should be back for the first game of the season."
On a possible return date for Scotland, Evans added: "We aim to get him back in time for the trip to Spain later this month."
Meanwhile, Swansea boss Roberto Martinez has completed the signing of central defender Albert Serran from Espanyol B in a deal worth £80,000.
The 23-year-old has penned a long-term deal with the Swans - the club have not disclosed the exact length - and Serran becomes Martinez's sixth signing of the summer.
"Albert is perfect for the British game," said Martinez (pictured).
"He is a committed and aggressive defender and that is the type of player we want at Swansea.
"He could have taken an easier option by signing closer to home for a La Liga club - and even had the option of going to Poland - but he wants to play in the Premiership with Swansea."
