Manchester City face a trip to the Faroe Islands in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup.
Six potential British and Irish opponents were bypassed in the draw, with City paired against EB/Streymur.
While the tie itself should prove no problem for manager Mark Hughes, with the first leg away he has little time to prepare for the trip on July 17.
The game will represent Hughes' first match in charge, with the second leg, which should be a formality, at Barnsley's Oakwell Stadium a fortnight later.
It will be the first time City have visited the Faroe Islands and given the nature of travelling to the North Atlantic archipelago, Hughes might have hoped for better.
However, as qualifiers from the Fair Play League, the Blues are happy just to be involved.
Owner Thaksin Shinawatra has already committed £19million for the signing of Brazilian striker Jo, with the promise of more to come.
None of the new faces should be required to dispose of such lowly opponents though.
Elsewhere, Northern Ireland challengers Cliftonville received the most eye-catching draw, paired with FC Copenhagen.
Glentoran and St Patrick's Athletic both face opposition from Latvia in the form of SK Liepajas Metalurgs and Olimps respectively.
Cork take on Finnish side FC Haka, who have tackled both Liverpool and Rangers in European competition in recent years.
Neither Welsh representative will have high hopes of qualifying with Bangor forced to face Denmark's Midtjylland and TNS also away from home in the first leg against Lithuanian side Suduva.

Keith R - no wonder you are bitter - supporting Arsenal!!
...and before anyone says I'm a bitter or sad red, Arsenal came top, and United second..
Barclays Premier League official stats show that City came 15th out of the 20 Premier League clubs based on their ability to fill their ground... ie the % attendance compared to potential capacity..only Birmingham, Blackburn, Wigan, Bolton and Boro were worst.. congratulations :)
for haz_r_1980 ..... if the average if 35000, that means the ground is only ever 73% full... thats less than 3/4's. Good suport eh? You cant blame the away fans either, I doubt if even city would give over 12000 tickets to the visiting team... unless they want to fill the ground of course
So the empty seats are the away fans going home are they?? Didnt know they put the away fans all round the ground these days.. mind you, I suppose they have to so they can try and fill it. What will you all do when Sinatras money gets taken off him for human rights abuses and robbing his own country... oh and one more, why are City fans so easy to wind up.. :) never heard of banter? or many too small minded? - A Manchester Red and proud...
weve one of the best grounds in the land one of the best supports and one of the richest owners the teams letting us down ever hopeful true blue
I'm sure your all loyal fans as well who would have been there had your team dropped to division 2. Your probably united fans who live in london and never been above Cheltenham in your lives so the abuse means a lot from you guys. Up the city
So idiots who can't get their facts right should do a bit of research before slagging off other clubs. The council don't subsidise the stadium of let us have it on the cheap. The council got a damned good deal when we gave them Maine Road for free, as part payment for Eastlands. To balance it out, City also pay the council a significant amount for every game with an attendance over 35000. (So all matches in other words).
Oh, and Keith R: City's attendances are a lot higher than most clubs in the country. So shut up you red scum and leave us true supporters of a real club alone.
sounds like a lot of non man city supporters cant live upto the fact that while were trying to buy good players some big teams are trying to keep theres just ask FERGIE,WENGER SCOLARI.... BY THE WAY THOSE SO CALLED EMPTY SEATS ARE THE AWAY FANS GOING HOME EARLY........TRUE BLUE...
big club ??? the biggest crowd they had was for Bon Jovi.. the only time the place ever has any atmosphere inside the ground.... makes me laugh.... every time on Match of the Day.... theres always loads of empty seats !! They should be made to pay for the stadium, rather get a cheap rent from the city council... paid for my M/cr tax payers money, regardless of who they support.. its a con
why would a good player want to play at the council house ??? dream on....
I think City should concentrate on staying up next season before they think about winning things with hasbeens

As much as I'd love to see big names at City, I doubt Ronaldinho will come to us. We need more combative players anyway. City should concentrate on 4 areas: a solid midfielder, a right winger, a decent left back and another striker in my opinion.
CITY'S MUST TAKE TIME TO CONVERT THEIR CHANCES.FORGET ABOUT RONALDINHO AND KEEP GOING.
stop dreaming
who cares.
What happened to us getting Ronaldinho?
