Briton Rob Huff is confident that Chevrolet will have a good package for this weekend's World Touring Car Championship meeting in Porto.

Chevrolet secured an excellent triple victory in race one at the Circuito da Boavista in 2007, a fond memory for Huff.

Those victories were achieved in a Lancetti and the team are confident of similar success in their latest Cruze car.

"Porto is a place close to everybody's heart at Chevrolet because of our first triple victory in 2007, and we are all excited to be back there," he said.

"Given what has been shown by the Cruze on street circuits this year, I think we should perform very well and, provided we qualify well, we can aim for very good results."

This weekend marks the first time that the Cruze has been raced around the urban track in Portugal.

"It will be a new circuit for the Cruze," Alain Menu said. "I just hope it suits the Cruze as much as it suited the Lacetti in 2007.

"The Porto track is like a compendium of everything: fast and blind corners, long straights and chicanes. I definitely like it."

Huff lies seventh in the drivers' standings, far ahead of his team-mates in the other two cars.

Nicola Larini added: "We go to Porto with confidence, knowing that we can be competitive there and that we can achieve some good results.

"Still, we do not control all variables and we will have to be extremely focused since the first minute of testing.

"I personally like the circuit, as it is fast and technical, and it is one of the few street circuits offering some good overtaking points."
