Valencia have signed goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya from Real Mallorca on a four-year contract.

Moya, 25, has passed a medical and would be presented to the media later on Thursday, Valencia said on their website.

Spanish media reported Valencia had paid 5 million euros (£4.3m) for Moya, plus a possible 1 million more depending on performance, a club-record fee for a goalkeeper.

Moya will provide competition to veteran shot-stopper Cesar Sanchez and his arrival possibly spells the end of Renan's time at the Mestalla.

The 24-year-old Brazilian was first-choice at the start of the season but lost his place after Cesar, 37, was signed from Tottenham in January.
