League One - Wotte sweats on Davis

Southampton boss Mark Wotte has not given up hope of keeping Kelvin Davis, who looks set for a move to West Ham.

Goalkeeper Davis, 32, is now out of contract and - with the future of the League One side still uncertain as takeover talks continue - no players can be offered a new deal.

"I asked Kelvin about his situation and he has almost signed for West Ham," Wotte told the Southern Daily Echo.

"I hope the takeover will be done before Kelvin joins West Ham."
