Premier League - Fulham confirm Volz exit

Fulham have confirmed defender Moritz Volz has left the club at the end of his contract.

The 26-year-old German, who had a spell with Arsenal and Wimbledon before heading to Craven Cottage in 2004, made 146 appearances for Fulham.

Volz scored what was the 15,000th Premier League goal in a game against Chelsea during December 2006, and spent a spell on loan at Ipswich in the 2008-2009 campaign.

As manager Roy Hodgson continues his preparations for next season, which will also include a Europa League campaign, Dutch striker Collins John has also left after failing to break into the first team on a regular basis.

Elsewhere, Danish midfielder Leon Andreasen, who joined Fulham during the 2008 January transfer window, has joined Hannover 96 on a permanent deal following a loan spell.
