Argentina's 1978 World Cup goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillol had his winner's medal stolen when thieves broke into his Buenos Aires home and threatened to kill him.

"They said to me 'If there's no money we'll kill you'," Fillol told local media after the incident.

"They turned over the whole house looking for more money and took several trophies and the World Cup medal," said Fillol.

Fillol currently trains the national team goalkeepers under coach Diego Maradona.

  1. That is classless. I remember a story a year ago.­ Someone broke into Ronaldinho's house and stole his­ stuff, but the thief left his trophies untouched.
