Aaron ready to return to Rangers

Thu, 02 Jul 13:07:28 2009

Spanish youngster Aaron will be back at Rangers next season after rejecting the opportunity to return to Valencia.

The 20-year-old`s time in Glasgow appeared to be over after reports suggested he was set to cut short his loan deal and return to Spain.

However, the winger is determined to complete his two-year loan move, saying: "Valencia wanted me to go back to them for this season but I was keen to come back to Rangers."

He added: "I am due to spend one more year at the club and I want to stay there. I think it is a good place for me to be and I want to help the team to do well.

"I am hopeful I can play more football than I did in my first season in Scotland because I have got used to the game there now and I feel I have improved.

"I was very happy in Glasgow and I'm looking forward to going back there and trying to win more trophies for the club."

Aaron has impressed while on international duty with Spain's under-20 side at the Mediterranean Games in Italy.

He netted in their opening 2-2 draw with Tunisia and struck again in a 3-0 win over Albania four days later in the tournament in Pescara.

He then impressed as the young Spaniards disposed of France to book their place in the final against the host nation.

Aaron told www.rangers.co.uk: "Things have gone very well for me in Italy. We drew our first game 2-2 and I scored then I got another goal against Albania. I feel I have been playing some good football, especially against France in the semi-final. I didn't score in that game but for me, it was my best match."

  10. Pt 13 Adam got put out on loan eventually and McCulloch hardly played last season. Wattis sticks with his tried ans trusted. The guy is young and I think will get more games this year. He is highly regarded back in spain as 1 of a number of promising young players coming through. Rangers will not be able to afford him as he has the potential to play in Spain or England. He wouldn't stay if he didn't think he would be playing next season. The Gers need all the players they can get as I don't think there will be many players signed in the summer. More about keeping the players we do have and some players will be sold poss Adam, Mculloch, Beasley all left sided players.

  13. I am glad he has decided to come back! He has real potential to be a quality player and will get more games next year as we are sturglling for quality left sided players. He will more likely play for Gers than Valencia who had put him out on loan in Greece and Gers last year. Anyone doubting his abilitly look him up on you tube and get more informed!
