Derby have had no offers from Celtic for winger Kris Commons, according to Adam Pearson.
Reports on Thursday suggested new Hoops boss Tony Mowbray was set to launch a £3million bid for the Scotland international.
But Pearson, Derby's chairman of football, has told the Derby Telegraph: "We have heard nothing from Celtic and can only presume it is speculation. Kris is an important member of the team."
The 25-year-old made 45 appearances for Derby last season after moving to Pride Park from Nottingham Forest.
The Rams have also confirmed that striker Emanuel Villa has completed his move to Mexican side CDSC Cruz Azul.

Ideal replacement on the right for Nakamura. It would let McGeady concentrate on attacking midfield or maybe left wing, with Brown playing in the hole in front of the back four.
Could be worse, we could've signed Weir and Dailly, or as they are commonly known The Caramel Wafers...cos they're Grey and Dunn...Ok, I know it was c rap.
Good player but I can see him ending up in the EPL.
Paul, both Rangers and Celtic will have dozens of players linked by the pathetic Scottish Media and only a fraction will sign.
If you think the fact that not all of them will sign is a great way to score petty points you're an even bigger loser than first thought.
More players linked, more players not signed. The board are still at there tricks.
what about tonel i can remember reading something about in the papers
Pt7...and the sunbed repair man
The only guys who really want to come to ibrox are big baldy bailiffs!
2 - Is Willie Nilly available on a Bosman? He sounds like a good signing, after all the disappointments we've had in getting people in!! LOL!!
Cmon Stuart, the filth HAVE been active in the market-Davy Weir, Christian Dailly etc.
Who are the guys wanting to come to Rangers?
at least we have guys wanting to come/stay at ibrox it seems nobody wants to touch the piggery with a bare pole
It takes this long because teams like Rangers and Celtic dont have the money to splash out willie nillie for players.....faithful through and through Scott...cud be worse u cud be a gers fans or mushrooms as they are now known
liked him playing for scotland but why when we are signing players does it always take so long if only we could be so slow handing over our season ticket money
