Swansea have opened talks with former Real Madrid midfielder Jordi Lopez, according to his agent.

The 28-year-old worked for new Swansea boss Paolo Sousa at QPR last season and has been unable to agree terms on new deal at Loftus Road, prompting Sousa to make his move.

"Contact has been made, we've been talking with Paulo. Paulo would be happy to have Jordi with him. There's a good professional relationship between them," agent Alex Bonnot told BBC Sport.

"Jordi has two other options. It's going to be down to the talks and the decision of Jordi. Everything so far has been very transparent and clear."
