Macclesfield have signed highly-rated Hednesford Town midfielder Ross Draper for an undisclosed fee.
The towering 20-year-old, who stands 6ft 4in, played 50 times for the Pitmen in all competitions last season, scoring nine goals.
He was awarded the captaincy and has enjoyed a previous spell with Stafford Rangers after starting his career with Shrewsbury.
Meanwhile, Macclesfield will host Middlesbrough in a pre-season friendly at Moss Rose on Saturday, July 18.
