Permit boost for Milijas

Wolves have announced Serbia midfielder Nenad Milijas has been granted a work permit.

The Barclays Premier League newcomers signed the 26-year-old from Red Star Belgrade two weeks ago but he fell just short of the minimum number of international appearances required to secure a permit.

However, the club appealed against the decision and enlisted help from Serbia coach Raddy Antic, who supported Milijas' case. And an appeal panel including officials from the Football Association, Premier League and Professional Footballers' Association granted the player's permit on Thursday.

"It is great news," said Milijas. "I am really glad that I am now a Wolves player and can't wait to get started."

  1. Great news indeed. I've got a good feeling about this season. We've got two strikers that I reckon will get us 25 goals between them now we have signed Doyle and all we need now I reckon is an experienced centre half and we are good to go. C'mon you Mighty Wolfmen!!!!!!!!!
