Southampton boss Mark Wotte has not given up hope of keeping Kelvin Davis, who looks set for a move to Barclays Premier League club West Ham.
Goalkeeper Davis, 32, is now out of contract and with the future of the League One side still uncertain as takeover talks continue, no players can be offered a new deal.
"I asked Kelvin about his situation and he has almost signed for West Ham," Wotte told the Southern Daily Echo. "I hope the takeover will be done before Kelvin joins West Ham."

West Ham need him to do the weeding in the car park.
i agree what is the point in davis moving when he will never be played all he will get is more money but that shouldnt ever be enough for a player to move.
I'm not sure backup is the best choice for a player nearing the end of his career, evn if it is in the Premiership.
