Serie A - Sanchez deal hits Jeffren snag
Barcelona's bid to sign Alexis Sanchez has run into difficulties following the news that Jeffren Suarez has no intention of moving to Udinese in part exchange.
Jeffren, 23, was included in Barcelona's "definitive offer" for the Chile international, which is reportedly worth as much as 40 million euros in total.
However, the deal is yet to be agreed and Jeffren has complicated matters further by saying he does not wish to move to Italy, according to his father.
“My son wants to play for Barcelona, or at most stay in La Liga or go to the Premier League,” Efren Suarez told Rac1.
“He does not want to join Udinese.”
Jeffren has attracted interest from Liverpool and it was reported on Saturday that Fulham are also interested in the player. Barcelona will now have to adjust their offer for Sanchez.
The Catalans saw off interest from Manchester City and Manchester United to become the favoured bidder for the forward, who at 22 is one of the most promising talents in world football.

Pique the weakest link? You must not watch much football and you must be a Man U fan.
Barcalona don't need anyone! Fabregas or Sanchez! They're almost perfect all over the park! The weakest link is Pique!
Fabregas goes to Madrid, Sanchez goes to Manchester. Barcelona keep their cash and give it to Gary Glitter.
haha SHAME!! Barca doesn't really need Alexis they are just being greedy and I'm glad Jeffren stood his ground WHY SHOULD HE BE SHIPPED OFF TO ANOTHER COUNTRY JUST TO PLEASE THEM!!
