Tom and Tim Coronel will take part in the 2009 Dakar Rally, driving a Bowler Nemesis car.

The twin brothers, who raced in Oschersleben last weekend, will share the driving and co-driving duties during the endurance race held in Chile and Argentina.

Tom Coronel (pictured) claimed his best result of the season so far in the World Touring Car Championship, taking second place in race two, while Tim Coronel took part in the SEAT Eurocup.

The Nemesis will be built and run by the Dakarsport.com team.

"It will be like learning how to race all over again," Tom Coronel said. "Everything in this car is different from what I have driven in the past.

"We are bouncing and jumping all the time. Even in a WTCC race I am not shaken as much as I am here.

"It is a big challenge, and both Tim and I are very much looking forward to it."

Chile's Atacama Desert will be the toughest challenge for the competitors while the three final stages will be held around Cordoba in Argentina.

The rally, which was cancelled in January because of security concerns on its typical route from Europe to Africa, will finish in Buenos Aires on January 18.
