Chevrolet 's World Touring Car Championship star Rob Huff is all about seven-litre road cars and 140mph crashes.
What is the biggest crash you've been involved in?
In Mexico in 2005 I woke up being put into a helicopter and was speaking complete gibberish. I was ragged on the oval, hit the wall backwards at 140mph, split the car literally down the middle and was knocked out for the best part of an hour. Not the most entertaining of experiences - and one I hope not to go through again.
Ever had a fist fight by the side of the track?
I've tried to steer clear of that. I keep my fists firmly in my pockets and let my driving do the talking. I've never got my head around when drivers or bike riders go swinging at each other's heads - given that they're wearing helmets!!
What was your first car?
The first car I ever owned myself was a Renault 5. It wasn't one of those boy racer ones: I paid 500 quid, 1.4 GL. She was beautiful.
Your mates are over for dinner, what do you cook?
Spag bol. (What drink would you serve?) The Magners flows well, plenty of ice in the pint glass.
What is on your iPod?
I do have an iPod but I barely ever listen to it. I probably like dance music the best.
Who or what really grinds your gears?
No one really, I'm quite an easygoing sort. I take it as it comes.
What is the worst place you've ever visited?
There's been a few - but I'll pass on naming them!
Which opponent do you most enjoy beating?
My team-mates; but only on the basis that we've all got the same equipment.
What was your most extravagant purchase?
My house and my Corvette, although I've sold the car now. It was a seven-litre V8 with 550 horsepower. A bit extravagant for a road car!
What song would you sing at karaoke?
Wonderwall.
If your house was on fire, what possession would you save first?
My dogs. A possession? Probably my TV then.
Any circuits in the world you'd like to buy then tear up?
A few go-karting tracks perhaps, but no race tracks.
Any you'd like to buy and live beside, so you can race it whenever you want?
Macau. Just because it's 27 corners of absolute blind madness.
What's the best thing about being a racing driver?
Life in general.
