QPR skipper Martin Rowlands is confident of making a timely return to fitness for the mouthwatering Carling Cup trip to Chelsea.
The midfielder suffered an ankle injury on the opening day of the season but expects to be back in action after the international break.
Rangers will be back on Championship duty at home to Peterborough next weekend, with the short trip to Stamford Bridge coming in the week commencing September 21.
"Hopefully I'll be fit for the Peterborough match after the international break, so I definitely expect to be ready for Chelsea," said Rowlands.
