Zenit St Petersburg striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has issued a 'come and get me' plea to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old Russia international impressed in his club's victorious UEFA Cup and domestic league campaigns and Spanish newspaper Marca have reported that he is already in negotiations with Bayern.

The player himself said that he is a fan of the club, and their coach Juergen Klinsmann.

"Bayern are my favourite team, ever since I was really small," Pogrebnyak admitted. "When I was a child my dad gave me a Klinsmann shirt with the number 18 on it.

"I've always followed German football with a lot of attention."

Bayern currently have three strikers, Miroslav Klose, Luca Toni and Lukas Podolski.

Podolski is reported to be angling for a move after seeing most of the action from the bench, while fellow Germany striker Klose and Italy hit-man Toni are both in their 30s.

Pogrebnyak and Toni were joint-top scorers in last season's UEFA Cup, with 10 goals each, although the Russian missed Euro 2008 through injury.
