Gills wait on Jackson

Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has a major injury doubt over top scorer Simeon Jackson ahead of his side`s trip to Southampton.

The highly-rated striker is rated 50/50 after limping out of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Norwich with a hamstring strain.

But left-winger Andy Barcham is available for selection despite being substituted against the Canaries after a kick to his ankle. Barcham has resumed training and is expected to start.

Centre-half Garry Richards is set to miss out after suffering a broken toe in the club's reserves outing with QPR, while Simon King (ankle ligament) remains on the sidelines.

Forward Mark McCammon returned to training on Thursday following a hamstring knock but is unlikely to feature and midfielder Stuart Lewis is ruled out with an ankle problem.
