Alexander eyes Dons upset

Macclesfield manager Keith Alexander insists his side are still hopeful of pulling off an FA Cup shock against League One high-flyers MK Dons.

With the Dons lying third in League One, Alexander knows the Silkmen could not have been handed a much tougher first-round tie.

However, he still believes they can be the round's giant-killers.

Alexander told the official website: "It's a big game for me and the players but I was disappointed with the draw.

"We want a good FA Cup run and so you want a home draw first and foremost and if not you want a non-league club away. But we've got a side flying high in the division above!

"But the FA Cup throws up shocks here and there and we'll be going there to be on the right end of one of those shocks."
