Coppinger targets table rise

Doncaster midfielder James Coppinger believes his side can emulate Saturday's opponents Blackpool and climb the Championship table.

Coppinger was switched to partner Billy Sharp in attack in Rovers' 3-3 draw with Blackpool, who are challenging in and around the play-offs under new manager Ian Holloway.

Coppinger said: "We're playing good sides and there's no easy side in this division. Teams are not going to roll over and give in.

"Blackpool showed that and they have been on a fantastic run, they are full of confidence and it shows.

"If you put a few back-to-back wins together in this league, this is the sort of thing that you can achieve.

"We will now strive to build on that confidence and become a `Blackpool' if you like."
