Davids snub won't deter Mandaric

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric insists his unsuccessful attempt to lure Edgar Davids to the Walkers Stadium will not put him off targeting other high-profile players.

Mandaric called off the club`s pursuit of the former Holland international on Friday following almost two weeks of talks after the two parties were unable to reach a deal.

He told the Leicester Mercury: "If another target shows up, and it seems to be the right thing to do for the club, we will approach it. We have not been put off by what has happened."
