Southampton boss Alan Pardew is contemplating changing his tactics for the FA Cup clash at Bristol Rovers on Friday night.
He switched to a 4-4-2 formation during Saturday's 2-2 draw at Leyton Orient and it paid dividends as the Saints salvaged a point after being two goals down.
Pardew will review his tactics ahead of the game against Paul Trollope's side.
He told the club's official website: "Whether we're going to start with it (4-4-2), whether it's time to change to that we will mull over in the week.
"I felt very sorry for those two players who came off (against Orient) because we should have been leading with the other system. We've got a strong squad and we were a little disappointed we didn't win but by the same token we were very relieved we weren't beaten."

thanks fullycoded, thought I was watching a different game for a minute, Im not saying he wont be a good addition to the team, when he understands the way the english league plays, but right now, hes not ready, yes he can score, but not from where he was playing on saturday. Its coming together nicely, and in general im happy, however, I would have expected a few more points on the table bearing in mind the amount of games we have played and the possible points we could of had. Bring on Friday night, revenge will be sweet I hope, and then two televised games, the brilliant Johnsons paint trophy against charlton and then the brighton and hove game at home...woop wooop - COYR
I agree Julie, Papa don't even know what offside is. Against MK Dons when AP changed to 4-4-2 what a transformation. Dons didn't stand a chance. Now apply that for the rest of the season and we'll sail into the playoffs.
of course you can peter....were you at the game, did you see how the player I mentioned played, whether he contributed or hindered our performance?
Can I make a suggestion...Alan knows what he's doing...Let him get on with it.
can i make a suggestion, find another place for pappa waigo, he was out of his depth on saturday on the right hand side, cant pin point a cross so no point him playing wide.
