Wycombe have capitalised on QPR's decision to release Tommy Docherty by securing a long-term contract with the Northern Ireland international. The midfielder, who has penned a deal to keep him at the club until June 2010, joined Wycombe on loan last season and went on to be awarded the supporters' Player of the Year award.
Docherty rejoined Wanderers in October with a view to a permanent deal and has made five
appearances so far this term.
Boss Paul Lambert told the club's official website: "It's brilliant to finally get the signing done and dusted. Tommy is a very talented player and I'm sure the fans are pleased to have him here permanently.
"We will need all the bodies we can get for the remainder of the season, and I think we have built up a very strong squad."
