Derby manager Paul Jewell is set to bolster his struggling side with a couple of new recruits this week.
Argentina striker Emanuel Villa is due to arrive on Thursday and complete a move from Mexican side UAG Tecos, while former Newcastle and Portsmouth winger Laurent Robert is also heading for Pride Park.
Robert has been handed a trial after having his contract cancelled by Spanish side Levante.
"He's coming in on Friday and we'll see how he looks," Jewell told Sky Sports News.
"We'll have a look and see what condition he is in and we'll see if he is right for us."
Jewell wants fresh impetus with Derby marooned at the foot of the table following the 1-0 defeat by Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.
They were left cursing their luck after Stelios Giannakopoulos scored a stoppage-time winner.
Kenny Miller almost secured a point but Jussi Jaaskelainen made a brilliant point-blank stop.
Jaaskelainen had twice denied Craig Fagan and substitute Michael Johnson had seen his effort come back off the bar.
Jewell was left in a state of disbelief after Stelios took advantage of some poor defending.
The Greece winger latched on to a long clearance from Jaaskelainen then lobbed the ball over goalkeeper Lewis Price before heading into an empty net in the dying moments.
Jewell said: "You are not down the bottom of the league because you are unlucky.
"I have been here for seven games and in five of them we have conceded late goals. The fear factor comes into play.
"It was a horrible game but we looked as though we might hold on for a point.
"I was pleased with a lot of things but it came down to our defending as a team. We have conceded goals like that all season."
Defender Jay McEveley could be sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in a challenge by Kevin Davies.
"It was a bad tackle on one of our main players, " added Jewell.
Bolton are now up to 14th place after their fourth successive home win.
But boss Gary Megson admitted his side had got the breaks.
He said: "We have played badly but got away with it. Stelios has a knack of getting a goal.
"I thought a lot of the players looked as though they had played four games in a short space of time. At times we were running on empty and looked tired."
