League Two - Round-up: Wycombe extend lead

Wycombe stretched their lead at the top of League Two to eight points after they beat Bury 2-1 at Adams Park.

Matt Harrold registered his 10th goal of the season eight minutes before the break when he turned home a Matt Bloomfield cross to put Wanderers ahead.

Angelo Balanta made it 2-0 just after the hour when he took advantage of Wayne Brown's error to lift the loose ball over the Bury goalkeeper.

Mike Williamson's own goal gave Bury a glimmer of hope, but Wycombe held on to extend their unbeaten home league run to 12 matches.

Robert Purdie's injury-time penalty moved Darlington up to sixth after their 2-1 win over Bournemouth.

Bournemouth took the lead when Mark Molesley crossed for Danny Hollands, who tapped home from six yards after 29 minutes.

Pawel Abbott cancelled out Hollands's opener with seven minutes left before Purdie scored from the spot after Shaun Cooper fouled Franz Burgmeier.

Rochdale jumped two places to seventh after their 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley at Spotland.

Rochdale took the lead after 22 minutes when Adam Le Fondre tucked home a penalty after Phil Edwards fouled William Buckley.

Peter Cavanagh pulled Accrington level two minutes later with a 20-yard free-kick before William Buckley and Kallum Higginbotham struck to stretch the hosts' unbeaten run to nine matches.

Ian Sharps scored deep into injury time to snatch a point for Rotherham against Dagenham and Redbridge, who had taken the lead through Matt Richie at Don Valley Stadium.

Bradford remain in third after they played out a 0-0 draw with fellow promotion rivals Shrewsbury at Valley Parade.

The day's other five fixtures - Chester v Luton, Morecambe v Lincoln, Barnet v Grimsby, Aldershot v Notts County and Exeter v Port Vale - were all called off due to frozen pitches.

  2. sort yourselves out Eurosport/BT/Yahoo.....League tables are wrong..take Rotherham, Luton etc shouldn't they have some points deducted? Er doh!
