Rochdale manager Keith Hill admitted his team were lacking their usual intensity as they lost 2-0 at home to Peterborough.George Boyd let fly from 25 yards out to put Posh 1-0 up in the 57th minute before Aaron McLean nicked the ball past Sam Russell to seal the win.
"The endeavour and the energy just wasn't there from us. We had too many players under-performing and while that doesn't surprise me given the hectic schedule we've had, I hope it doesn't reoccur," said Hill.
"We didn't play with the intensity we usually do and I think that is a culmination of all the difficult away games we've played in recent weeks.
"Peterborough are a very good side and I said at the start of the season they are one of my favourites to go up.
"We are probably over-achieving with the position we are in in the league, but they probably expect to be in the top three teams in the division."
