Mariners boss demands more

Sun 03 Feb, 05:15 PM

Grimsby boss Alan Buckley was still not satisfied despite a 1-1 draw with Notts County which extended the Mariners' unbeaten run to nine games.Fenton was played in by Danny Boshell and his close-range shot had too much power for Kevin Pilkington to keep out.

The goal cancelled out Richard Butcher's 10th goal of the season two minutes earlier as the midfielder fired in after a defensive ricochet.

Buckley said: "We started really well had a couple of great chances and should have had it won by half time.

"We should have finished them, but the thing that pleased me most was that we passed the ball better. I don't think we've been easy on the eye recently and it's important to me that we are.

"Nick Fenton got himself into a good position, certainly didn't panic and stuck the ball in the corner."
