McAllister: We have what it takes

Sun 03 Feb, 02:15 PM

Manager Gary McAllister conceded he does not have long to get Leeds back on track after his first game ended in a 2-0 home defeat to Tranmere.Jennison Myrie-Williams opened the scoring in the 61st minute with an angled shot and soon after former Leeds striker Ian Moore headed a free-kick past David Lucas on his debut.

McAllister, who saw his side slip to their third defeat in four games, said: "There is work to be done on the training ground to get us back on track again.

"We are in a bit of a rut at the moment, but we have 16 games left to get out of this division and I know how many wins we need. We have to be better than that.

"We have to show a bit more bravery on the ball and first we have to make sure we compete and win our battles. The players have shown this season that they can win 12 games or so in a row.

"Since being out of football I've probably seen more matches than ever, so I know what's required."
