Alexander targets at least a point

Mon 03 Mar, 08:45 PM

Manager Keith Alexander insists Macclesfield must collect at least a point from their trip to Griffin Park to face Brentford this weekend.Alexander failed to guide the Silkmen to victory during his first game in charge as Notts County held them to a 1-1 draw at Moss Rose.

The result ended a run of three straight losses and Alexander knows the ramifications for defeats as the run-in approaches.

"We need to go to Brentford and get something," said the former Lincoln boss.

"You usually target to pick up a point away and win your home games.

"But for some reason it has been difficult for the club to win many home matches and they have been doing better away so we need to carry that on."
