MK Dons' Keith Andrews has been rewarded by being named FourFourTwo Player of the Year for League Two at the 2008 Football League Awards. The 27-year-old midfielder, who has scored 11 times this season, received the award at a gala dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Sunday.
Andrews said: "I am not sitting in front of the back four anymore and the manager [Paul Ince] has given me the licence to get forward whenever I can.
"I have matured now, I maybe let myself down in my early 20s by doing a few things which I shouldn't have but now I am doing everything right and I am bearing the fruits of that now.
"Under the new gaffer we are playing some great football. We have had a bad month but won our last two games and hopefully we are back on track for the title now."
