Northampton boss Stuart Gray will continue his hunt for a new striker after watching his side play out a goalless draw with Crewe on Saturday.Gray confirmed he had missed out on one signing last week but remains hopeful of bolstering his attacking options in the near future.

"We missed out on signing someone last week," he told the Northampton Chronicle. "We thought we had someone lined up, and they ended up going to a Championship club.

"Everyone seems to be competing for the same players, we're all looking to see who's not playing for the teams in the Premiership and the Championship.

"We move on and keep looking, and fingers crossed we'll get someone in soon."
