Mansfield manager Billy Dearden has renewed his numerous calls for a speedy conclusion to his struggling club's protracted takeover. The League Two side have been embroiled in discussions with controversial owner Keith Haslam and various interested parties for the past 18 months, with Dearden claiming the club was 'in limbo' ahead of Saturday's crucial relegation clash against Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground.

The Stags boss believes that the uncertainty surrounding the club's future is beginning to take its toll on the field.

"The takeover has been going on for ages now and is part and parcel of the club at the moment," Dearden told the Chad. "There is no stability in the club right now, the players don't know if they are coming or going.

"We don't know what is happening, there is no leadership at the club. It would help me as the manager to know who I have got to go to talk to about things.

"It would be good if it was done and dusted as it would give people a lift and would allow the club to move forward."
