Lincoln boss Peter Jackson is looking forward to leading the Imps' promotion challenge next season when he returns from his leave of absence.Jackson took charge of his last match on Saturday before undergoing treatment for throat cancer and urged the fans to rally behind assistant Iffy Onuora, who will take temporary charge.

Jackson, who thanked the club, fans and players for their recent support, said: "There's so much for me to look forward to in terms of getting fit and strong for my family and for next year's promotion push.

"So, once again, I can't thank you enough for what you've done for me through this very difficult time, but the biggest thanks of all goes to my players without whom this award would not be achievable.

"All that is left for me to say is to get right behind Iffy and Grant (Brown) as you have with me and back them as much as you can."
