Knill considers Shakers shake-up

Mon 03 Mar, 05:30 PM

Bury manager Alan Knill could make changes as his relegation-threatened side seek a winning formula at Brentford on Tuesday evening. The struggling Shakers have collected just one point from their last three games to slide closer to the relegation trapdoor.

Adam Rooney was rewarded for his goal against Mansfield by replacing Glynn Hurst up front during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at high-flying Peterborough.

Hurst came on to replace Rooney in the second half at London Road and, along with fellow frontman Simon Yeo, is pushing for a place in the starting line-up.

Giant defender Ben Futcher could also win a recall after Dean Keates - the smallest man on the pitch at 5ft 6in - headed Peterborough's winner on Saturday.

Knill said: "I have spoken to Steve Haslam, and to Darren Randolph about the way the goal went in and it needs sorting out quickly before we go to Brentford."
