Martot pushing for Seagulls recall

Mon 03 Mar, 07:45 PM

French midfielder David Martot may be in line for a recall to the Brighton starting eleven for Tuesday's visit of Gillingham to the Withdean.Martot, on loan from Ligue 2 side Le Havre, came on for Dean Cox in the 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient and impressed enough to contend for Cox's place.

Dean Bowditch is another who may find himself under threat after being withdrawn for Jake Robinson midway through the second half.

The most relieved player must be striker Nicky Forster, who scored his first in 14 games from the spot as Brighton salvaged a point.

Jonny Dixon made his debut from the bench on Saturday but is likely to have to settle for a place among the substitutes again.

Midfielders Paul Reid and Doug Loft, and defender Adam Hinshelwood are all likely to miss out through knee injury.
