No new worries for Hornets boss

Mon 03 Mar, 07:45 PM

Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Tuesday night's Championship clash with Norwich at Vicarage Road.Captain Jay DeMerit is pushing for a return to the starting XI as the

Hornets look to climb back up to second place in the Championship.

DeMerit has now made two substitute appearances since returning from a groin injury and could force his way back in to Boothroyd's side.

Transfer deadline-day signing Leigh Bromby has excelled in DeMerit's absence alongside Danny Shittu but could move to right-back to accommodate his skipper's return with Adrian Mariappa dropping out.

Loan signing Collins John is expected to continue on the bench after working

with the club's medical staff to make sure he suffers no further hamstring

injuries.

Boothroyd is still without former Wigan midfielder Damien Francis (knee),

while Gareth Williams - who is expected to miss the whole season after

suffering a reoccurrence of a cruciate knee ligament injury.
