David Nugent's proposed loan move from Portsmouth to Ipswich could go through this week, according to Town boss Jim Magilton.Nugent, 22, was expected to arrive at Portman Road last week but despite both parties agreeing on a financial package, the former Preston hitman remains at Fratton Park for the time being.

Magilton told Sky Sports News: "I think we'll decide after Tuesday night's game. We are getting a positive response that he wants to come and hopefully if everything is okay medically we'll get an opportunity to speak to him again and get a decision.

"He would give us a bit more quality and impact in games. He's proved himself at this level already and would give us all a lift and shows our intention to remain very, very competitive."
