Sturrock wary of visitors' threat

Mon 03 Mar, 12:30 PM

Paul Sturrock has warned his Plymouth Argyle side to "think again" if they are preparing for two easy league fixtures at Home Park this week.Championship play-off chasers Argyle face "vitally important" forthcoming games against lowly pair Colchester and Sheffield United.

The Pilgrims host the bottom-of-the-table Us on Tuesday before the visit of the struggling Blades - coached by former Argyle assistant manager and goalkeeper Kevin Blackwell - on Saturday.

"We have two home games coming up and it's vitally important that we take good pointage from them," Sturrock said.

"The Colchester game will be very difficult because they are fighting for their lives and Sheffield United are a better team than their league position suggests. I think their performances in their last two games have instilled a better feel about them now.

"If anybody thinks it's going to be easy, they need to think again. I think people have got to be appreciative that these are going to be difficult games for us.

"If the fan base are coming here thinking that we just need to turn up to win, I'm afraid to say that we have not told the opposition that."
