Streitberger edged out Bode Miller by two tenths to finish in one minute, 26.68 seconds.

The American extended his overall World Cup lead over Swiss Didier Cuche, who finished third, 0.12 seconds further behind.

In-form Miller completed three days of impressive skiing with another second place on the Norwegian slope. He won Saturday's downhill race and on Friday finished second behind Italian Werner Heel in the same discipline.

Miller now leads Cuche by 185 points, with six races remaining in the Cup.

"Both today and yesterday, Didier made significant mistakes and is right behind me," Miller said.

"He could have won both yesterday and today, with just a little bit of luck.

"Normally he doesn't make those mistakes. So the results show that I was first and second when I could have easily have been second and third.

"Easily, the results could have been worse, but I've been consistent and the skis are working really well right now, that makes a big difference."

Cuche said: "I have pushed and made mistakes on all three of these days, and it seems like he (Miller) is really confident and is not making mistakes. That's the key."

The circuit moves on to Kranjska Gora, Slovenia next weekend for a giant slalom and a slalom.

The World Cup finals are then held in Bormio, Italy from March 12-16.

Streitberger's victory was overshadowed by a serious crash for fellow Austrian Matthias Lanzinger who suffered a broken leg.

Lanzinger, with bib 30, crashed spectacularly out of his run in the latter stages of the Olympiabakken course and finished in the safety net.

He was carried down on a sledge by officials, with his fall delaying the event by some 30 minutes.

"It's a victory, but I cannot be that happy with it because of Matthias Lanzinger," Streitberger said.

"It's not nice to see such a thing in the super-G or in a downhill, it's very dangerous."
