Jimmy Bullard has hailed Fulham's fans and admitted "they deserve better" than the disappointment they have suffered this season.Bullard, back to full fitness after a lengthy absence with a knee injury, knows the odds are stacked against The Cottagers' beating the drop.

But he has not given up hope, and told the club's official website: "The fans at Derby were awesome. I've always said they are fantastic but in the last few games they've been different class and they deserve better.

"They know the position we're in and they've stuck right behind us massively and we need that now more than ever. I can't fault them.

"At Everton, it was the best atmosphere I've known at the Cottage and all the lads commented about it after the game.

"None of us want to go down and we're not thinking that way, but we owe the fans and we all need to show them that on Saturday."
