Harris: Gills clash make or break

Thu 03 Apr, 03:30 PM

Millwall stalwart Neil Harris claims Saturday's relegation showdown with Gillingham will be the biggest match in the club's recent history. The Lions host a Gills side who closed the gap between them to just two points when they beat Luton in midweek and striker Harris, who played in the 2004 FA Cup final against Manchester United, is under no illusions about the importance of the clash.

"Gills is the biggest game I have been involved with at any club for a very long time," he said.

"I would go so far as to say it is bigger than any game we played in the Cup run of 2004.

"Not only is there a rivalry between the two clubs, but this is a relegation six-pointer which could see the loser playing in the fourth division next season.

"It's important that as a group of players we make sure we give the fans something to be proud of."
