Mansfield defender Alex John-Baptiste believes the 2-1 victory over Wrexham will be meaningless if they fail to beat Barnet on Saturday. The Stags currently trail Notts County by four points and are in desperate need of results if they are to save their Football League status for another season.
Baptiste said: "Beating Wrexham was crucial to keeping our hopes alive. We haven't won at home in a long time and we needed those points."
"Saturday's game against Barnet is now massive for us."
The victory over the Welsh side was their first home win in 12 games and to have any chance of staying up Baptiste knows his side must win consecutive matches for the first time this term.
"We have not managed to win two games in a row all season and we need to do it now more than ever."
