Bournemouth's future has again been thrown into doubt after administrator Gerald Krasner confirmed bidding for the club has reopened. The consortium led by Cherries chairman Jeff Mostyn that had offered to buy the cash-strapped club has split following the withdrawal of funds from Marc Jackson.
Mostyn has failed to meet the deadline to find the funds to make up the difference set by Krasner, who is now prepared to listen to offers from elsewhere.
However, time is running out for potential buyers with the club's creditors' meeting due to take place on Monday - and Krasner refused to rule out the possibility of him closing the club down should funds fail to materialise.
He told the club's official website: "There has been a breakdown in Mr Mostyn's consortium, which I think everyone is aware of. The effect is as of this moment Mr Mostyn's consortium are in breach of two agreements with us; one with initial funding and one is the proposed sale of the club.
"As a result I have notified them that their exclusive deal based on what is being proposed in the creditors' meeting does not exist any more," Krasner added. "If nobody wishes to make a bid for the club and people in the area do not wish to support the football club by making a bid I have to say that one of the options open to me is to effectively close the club down."
