Oldham boss John Sheridan insists his players should be constantly striving to play at the highest level possible.The injury-crippled Latics are just four points adrift of the League One play-off zone with five games remaining.
Sheridan said: "It's all about consistency.
"If the players are consistent then they will either move on to a higher level or go there with Oldham and I'll continue to preach that."
