Thu 03 Apr, 05:15 PM

QPR striker Rowan Vine is "understandably upset" as he will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken leg in training. The 25-year-old former Luton and Birmingham forward requires an operation after fracturing his left leg towards the end of Thursday's training session.

"Rowan is understandably upset right now, but he is already thinking about getting himself fit as soon as possible," said Rangers physio Paul Hunter.

Vine joined QPR in January from Birmingham for £1million after a successful loan spell, and hit seven goals while playing a key role in the club's climb away from the Championship relegation zone.
