QPR striker Rowan Vine has been taken to hospital after suffering a nasty-looking leg injury on the training ground on Thursday. The 25-year-old former Luton and Birmingham forward sustained what appears to be a serious injury as the Rangers squad prepared for Saturday's clash with Preston at Loftus Road.
The extent of the damage is not yet known with QPR medical chiefs anxiously awaiting news from the hospital.
Vine joined Rangers in January from Birmingham for £1million after a successful loan spell, and has hit seven goals while playing a key role in the club's climb away from the relegation zone.
