Juande Ramos plans to scour the globe as he looks to bolster Tottenham's squad this summer.

The former Sevilla manager has been linked with a number of leading players from La Liga following his switch to White Hart Lane last year, but insists he will be looking further afield than just his homeland.

Spurs boss Ramos is expected to undertake a major overhaul of his playing staff this summer as he looks to lead the club into the UEFA Champions League.

And he said: "I will not only concentrate on the Spanish league.

"I like good players from all countries, including Russians, Italians and Brazilians."

Ramos secured silverware just four months into his reign at Spurs as the club claimed the Carling Cup with victory over London rivals Chelsea at Wembley.

And the Spaniard admits he is enjoying his new career in the Premier League, and has been impressed by the home-grown players at his disposal.

He added: "When we came to London we had to change many things, like the way we trained and the way we played.

"The English players give a lot of effort and they are big professionals.

"We have a spectacular game in England. I believe at this moment that the Premier League is the best among all the leagues."
