Crystal Palace have added another two young players to their already youthful squad by handing Jamie Smith and Ryan Carolan their first professional contracts.
The two teenage midfielders follow the likes of John Bostock, Sean Scannell, Victor Moses, Lee Hills, Ben Kudjodji and Ashley-Paul Robinson by breaking into the first-team squad next season.
Bostock (pictured) became the club's youngest ever player when he came on as a substitute in the 2-0 home defeat to Watford when aged just 15.
Palace under-18 coach Gary Issott said: "Jamie Smith is a diminutive attacking central midfielder in the mould of Eyal Berkovic.
"Ryan is an Irish youth international who can play at centre-back or in midfield. At 6ft 1in he is a tall presence and has good skill on the ball."
Aaron Dalhouse and Billy Bingham have also been offered six-month non-contractual deals by the Eagles.
